Smart sailing with Tacktick: Use your Micro Compass to win races

Each year, the list of sailboat championships won by Tacktick customers multiplies.

The Tacktick Micro Compass uniquely combines compass course, upwind heading compared with mean, and graphical wind shift display. Use Micro Compass to increase performance by:

Seeing the correct data at all times. The Micro Compass’s unique twin display gives helm and crew excellent visibility whether trapezing, hiking, or standing.

bullet

Building a picture of the prevailing wind conditions before the start. Understanding the conditions helps predict what will happen during the race. Plan the fastest route around the course, outwit the competition, and win more races.

Accurately judging start line bias, using Micro Compass, even if the wind direction changes shortly before the start. Choose the favoured end and get an immediate head start over the fleet.

bullet

Concentrating on sailing the boat, through the whole start sequence. The Micro Compass’s “heads up” timer display means that the whole crew is involved, rather than introspectively fiddling with personal timers. Gain maximum advantage not only by starting in front of, but also sailing faster than, the “watch fiddlers”.

Tacking in the right place. An indication of the instantaneous wind direction provides the basis for race winning decisions. Sail a shorter distance around the course, so finish earlier!

Trusting your equipment: the solar system gives power for life: there is no need to recharge or replace batteries. The rugged case is submersible to 10m for maximum durability.

Racing anywhere in the world, with no recalibration required for the Southern Hemisphere.
